Fullbore rifle shooting is arguably the most demanding of shooting disciplines. Although not an Olympic sport, it is included in the Commonwealth Games. There can be little as rewarding as doing battle with a continuously shifting wind to place a shot into the 11-inch bulls-eye 1,000 yards away!
As Ruislip's own range is for airguns and smallbore (.22) calibre only, being 25 yards and indoor, we shoot Fullbore rifle at the NRA ranges at Bisley, the National Shooting Centre. Unfortunately we are therefore unable to provide facilities for beginners. Established shooters, including smallbore rifle shooters, are however welcome to join us. Beginners would be well advised to contact the National Rifle Association and inquire about the NRA Probationary Members courses.
Facilities
We are affiliated to the London and Middlesex Rifle Association, and use their clubhouse and other facilities at Bisley.
Instruction and Coaching
We have a number of experienced and qualified instructors and coaches.
Competitive environment
We compete in team leagues and matches, as well as individual competitions.
